A 35 year old housewife and mother of four is suddenly ripped from her ordinary life into a bit of chaos after her husband and high school sweetheart dies from pancreatic cancer. This tale is told with flashbacks to high school days, wedding, and babies, while retelling the sudden painful experience of losing someone dearly loved. Life does go on but dark and some humorous events fill her life.

Phyllis Ham

Phyllis Ham lives in Southern California and enjoys gardening in her 1/3 acre back yard, as well as feeding the resident birds and desert tortoises. She loves the theater, drama or musicals, doesn’t matter, and reading and sharing opinions with book club members. Feeding hungry sons, spouses, and grandchildren when they show up is always a challenge but a joy, forever “Miss Bobby Sox.” She is also on her own rocky cancer adventure but comes up for air at times to smell the flowers.
