Is Your Life Controlled by Spiritual Confusion, Religious Rituals or Important Unanswered Questions?

This is a masterpiece and I feel that the body of Christ will be more enlightened by reading this book …thought provoking, illuminating to the mind, revelatory, honest explanation of God’s word…the answers to questions that the normal Christian is afraid to ask…extensive and comprehensive coverage.” (Allan Young, Chair: Teacher Education and Public Administration, University College of the Cayman Islands)

“A very honest presentation of the real issues of life, both now and for eternity. I am very impressed with the simple and clear truths that are being set forth and the way the book leaves no doubt about what is presented……a must read for every human being who wants honesty, the God way.” (Bobby Wilmot, Minister of the Gospel, Covenant City Church Elder)

“Spiritual Illumination: Honest Questions From The Heart” provides your opportunity to explore the corridors of life for yourself...and to embrace a real purpose for living.

While not intending to generate unnecessary offence, this revolutionary book challenges many long-standing convictions, raises delicate religious issues, confronts countless “holy cows” and unmasks deadly, diabolic deceptions.

These brief Chapters, alongside the accompanying “Reflections” will definitely lead the honest reader to discover viable, authentic spiritual options...especially in an age when many confusing voices are clamoring for attention with enticing offers of “peace”, “unity”, “love”, “health”, “prosperity” and “eternal life”.

This book challenges you to make some hard, conscious, personal, eternal decisions.

Book Excerpt

We are indeed, a very spiritual country, steeped in superstition, religiosity, spiritism and ritualistic practices that permeate every facet of our daily lives.

Our rich and spicy religious heritage has created for us a melting pot of African retention, European spirituality, Eastern mysticism, North American denominationalism and colorful Latin-Caribbean pluralism, all mysteriously fused together.

It appears that we have, in some quarters, mastered the art of manipulating God’s Word and of using His holy sanctuary in all kinds of strange and convenient ways.

Did you ever notice how Church Leaders are sometimes expected to wave the “magic wand” of prayer and the “cure all” of deliverance, while the afflicted church people refuse to abandon their sinful lifestyles?

We are living in a critical season when each person must know where he / she stands before Almighty God. There is no place for hiding in the ecumenical crowd, no time for playing traditional church games, and no profit in skillful religious gymnastics.

There comes a point at which a conscious, informed personal decision needs to be made to “choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” (Josh. 24:15)…and honestly speaking …who are you presently serving?

So you say, “I’m not ready yet…I’m not rushing into anything” and “I don’t want anybody to pressure me”.

You keep convincing yourself that ; “God is not yet ready for you” and that “when your time comes you will know”, so you’re “waiting for a special call”.

You do know, however, that these are not new excuses?

Satan has been tricking other Honest Non-Christians throughout the centuries and training them to use these and several other meaningless, redundant excuses...as they prepare for hell.

And please don’t forget that the roads to hell (where the worms do not die, and where the fires are never quenched… Mark 9:48) are still being expertly paved with “good intentions”.

About the Author

Donald K. Stewart (D.Min., D.M.E.)

Donald Karl Stewart was born in the island of Jamaica, in 1956, to devoted Anglican parents, Henry and Esmie Stewart. They provided for him a solid religious foundation, a stable family life and a diverse social environment that were conducive to both exploration and introspection. Having been born again in 1976, with Charismatic connections and evangelistic zeal, his days as a committed Anglican became numbered, and he was eventually given marching orders by his liberal, ecumenical Priest, from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church (99 Molynes Road) in the Summer of 1979. After teaching Mathematics and Physics for 9 years at the Ardenne High School (Jamaica), he surrendered to the call for full-time pastoral ministry at the Covenant Community Church in 1986, two years after marrying petite Andrea Shepherd. He was subsequently ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 1989 and as an Elder in 1993, and has been serving as a Pastor at the Portmore (Lane) Covenant Community Church for the past 17 years. Donald has studied at the College of Arts, Science and Technology (now University of Technology), Jamaica Open Bible Institute, Jamaica Theological Seminary, United Theological College of the West Indies, University of the West Indies, Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, Columbia Theological Seminary, Haggai Leadership Institute and Christian Leadership University. He holds a B.Ed. (U.W.I.), M.A. and M.Div. (C.G.S.T.), two doctoral degrees; D. Min. (C.T.S.) and D.M.E. (C.L.U.), and is presently completing a Ph.D. (U.W.I.). His passion for learning and ministry has so far taken him to the countries of Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman, Cuba, Hawaii, Tanzania, Trinidad and various parts of the United States of America. Alongside his occasional writing of provocative articles in the national press (Jamaica) and the production of a 150 part D.V.D. series on Spiritual Warfare, Donald continues to serve the Body of Christ through his commitment to evangelism, counseling, teaching, camping and deliverance ministries. With the motto; “Respect for All, Fear for None” he is motivated by; “The Love of God”, and sees as his lifelong mission to; “Evangelize, Deliver and Educate God’s People, Towards Personal and National Transformation”.
