FROM YOUR VISION TO FINISHED ARTWORK
How Our Custom Illustration Process Works
Great illustrations do more than accompany your words. They help establish the look, mood, and visual storytelling of your book. Choose the artistic style you love, provide your vision, and work with your illustrator as your artwork takes shape.
1
Choose Your Style
Select the illustration style that best fits your book. Our artists work in a variety of traditional and digital styles and mediums.
2
Describe Your Vision
Provide a detailed description of each illustration. Details you don't specify are left to the artist's interpretation and artistic style.
3
Review the First Drawings
You'll have two opportunities to review and request revisions to the first three drawings, helping establish how your instructions translate into artwork.
4
Review & Approve
Review low-resolution digital proofs of your artwork. After the illustrations are finalized, you'll receive high-resolution files for your publishing project.
5
Select Your Quantity
Illustrations are purchased in a single style in quantities of 1, 10, or 15. Combine quantities to create the number of unique illustrations your book requires.
6
Use Your Finished Artwork
You'll receive an unlimited, non-exclusive license to use the illustrations for your book's publishing and marketing efforts.

Think About How Your Words and Artwork Work Together
Your text can appear within an illustration, on a separate page, or use a combination of both approaches. Consider the reading experience you want to create as you plan your illustrations.
