We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced logging-in
to your author’s center from our website. Please review this page for
a possible solution:
- Be sure you are signing-in from the yellow “Sign-in” box on
the left of the Author’s Center sign-in screen at http://www.outskirtspress.com/authors.php
(if you automatically access your author’s center directly from this
link and your Author’s Center greets you, then you have signed-in automatically
and can proceed as usual).
- Confirm you are using the proper password by entering your email address
into the email field and then clicking on the FORGOT PASSWORD button. Your
password will be sent to your email address. Cut and paste it into the password
box to be sure you accurately capture any spaces or odd characters).
- If you do not remember what email address you used when registering previously,
you can register for another free author's center using a new email address.
The system will tell you if you are using the same one.
- In rare instances you may need to reset your COOKIES. A computer “cookie”
is a file stored on your computer which allows you to conveniently enter your
Author’s Center without entering your access information every time.
It usually works flawlessly, but in the case of difficulties, it may be necessary
to delete your cookie file. You can delete your cookies by accessing them
from the Internet Tools menu on your browser.
- Go to "Tools" on your Browser Menu Bar
- Find "Internet Options" "Settings"
or "Preferences"
- Under "Temporary Internet Files" or "Cookies"
you will see an option for deleting your cookies. Press the button and
apply the changes.
- Deleting cookies removes stored information on your
computer that assists with easy navigation on many websites. After deleting
them you will find that you have to sign-in to your usual websites again
by using your password.
- Now you can sign-in to Outskirts Press using your email
address and password on file.
- Confirm that you have the latest version of either Netscape of Explorer
by downloading the latest version from http://www.netscape.com
or http://www.microsoft.com
- If you are using the current version of FireFox Mozilla, you may run into
incompatibility issues. Use Explorer or Netscape instead.
If, after trying all of these solutions in order, you still have troubles signing-in,
email us at info@outskirtspress.com and give us very specific information about
the computer and browser you are using and the error message you are receiving.
We will help you resolve it.
Thank you.
