What child doesn't like money? They often think it grows on trees! But, how much do they really know about managing it? The Money Tree: A Financial Book for Children; offers children an exciting opportunity to learn money management and set goals for themselves. It is written for middle and high-school aged children and topics include: salaries, bank accounts, budgets, donations, credit cards and much more. There is a definition of each financial concept along with lessons, tips and additional information. Inspirational statements are included within each chapter to motivate and inspire. As children read this information, hopefully, parents or teachers will be guiding them with examples. There is a Fun Section at the end of the book which includes activities to challenge children with what they have learned. You may have heard that children are like sponges, well, what better concept for them to absorb than the fundamentals of money!

"So many times we learn about money the hard way. Trial and error right into adulthood. This book helps to shape young minds early and steer them in the right direction. I look forward to the day my son

and I read it."

About Theresa Reitz, Co-authors Lindsay & Collin Reitz

Theresa Reitz is the mother of two children, Lindsay and Collin. She resides in Maryland and originally wrote this book for her children as a way to educate them about proper money management. As she went through the process of preparing the book for publication, her children became co-authors by assisting her in editing the book for children in their age group. Her hope is “The Money Tree: A Financial Book for Children” will enable other parents and educators to empower, motivate and encourage their children to be interested in properly managing money. Theresa strongly believes that parents must start the process of teaching children money basics, otherwise, they may not learn them. Equally important, is setting and providing children with the wisdom of any mistakes adults have made and the lessons learned from those mistakes. Theresa is an active participant in helping her own children understand and appreciate money, preventing them from making unnecessary mistakes in their adult years. She hopes you will be encouraged to do the same!
