All Pearl books include professional interior layout, an ISBN number, and unlimited wholesale printing, fulfillment and distribution via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Ingram, and Baker & Taylor, among others.
Paperback bindings are high-quality perfect bound and can be anywhere from 24 pages to 400 pages in length. Full-color books shorter than 24 pages at publication are saddle-stitched and can be anywhere from 4 pages to 23 pages in length.
All our covers are full-color, unless purposely designed by the author to be in black/white. All Pearl interiors are printed in full-color and professionally formatted according to the choices you make during the pre-production process.
Paper Type refers to page weight and width. 385 PPI means that 385 pages (191 pieces of paper) is one inch thick. Use this formula to calculate your spine (or better yet, just let us do it for you -- it's included).
Paper Color refers to the tone of the page. White is a pure white. All paper is off-set, opaque, acid-free and meets all library archival standards.

5 paperback copies of your book are shipped to you once your book is published. You simply sign-in to your Author's Center and choose the shipping option you prefer. Ground shipping is free within the continental United States. Authors residing outside of the United States will be charged shipping costs and all applicable international taxes and brokerage fees.

Unlimited Worldwide Distribution & Fulfillment
The power of on-demand printing and on-demand distribution can make your book available for unlimited wholesale availability via the following sales channels shown below (as well as the potential for many others, like Target.com, etc.). Your book will automatically be available through I-Page, the book ordering system available at over 25,000 bookstores and retail chains.
Your book will automatically be listed online with Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other e-retailers for sale.
Outskirts Press will print and fulfill an unlimited amount of orders originating from any of these sales channels below, without any additional out-of-pocket printing costs for you, ever. You only pay for books you order yourself (and you don' t have to order any unless you want to). Your distribution-on-demand sales channels can include:
In addition, applicable Pearl books of a religious/spiritual nature will be submitted to Spring Arbor Christian distribution for consideration. As with all retailers and wholesalers, books accepted by Spring Arbor are at their discretion and outside of the control of Outskirts Press.
There is an $25/year digital storage/distribution fee, billed the first January after your book is published.
* The author's pricing plan determines the book's trade discount, which helps determine distribution. The author can set the trade discount from 0% - 55%. The higher the trade discount, the more distribution opportunities become available from the channels above. Wholesalers and retailers are not obligated to carry/stock/order all books. For instance, the book's content and subject matter play a very large role in some retailer's (like Target's) opinion of it. We have no control over a retailer's decision to carry/list/stock your book. Most retailers base their decision to stock/carry/order a book based upon three factors: Trade discount, returnability, and the book's overall strength/content.
At Outskirts Press, you set your own pricing plan, which includes setting your own retail price, royalty, and author discount. If you are not sure what pricing to select, we offer recommended pricing based upon your book's length.
