River Michaels has a Master of Arts degree from Webster University in Computer Resources and Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in Education, Training, and Development. She is a US Navy Veteran that served as an Aviation Electrician and Naval Aircrewman. Today, River Michaels is a technical writing consultant, and a full-time poet residing in Houston, Texas.
